The movement for trans lives and the movement for black lives must form an allegiance at the intersection of black queer femininity. This group will engage with topics found in a collection published through Cassandra press. The group will also invite outside readings interacting with topics of transmisogyny and or misogynoir. The group will be collaborative and will not have a designated instructor. Facilitation can rotate each session. From Cassandra: "We would like to engage and pull out dialogue between trans/Cis women about race, class and sexual liberty that centers the restriction of healthy access to reproductive care, safe sexual expression, and protection from sexual violence for poor/ black women historically in this country as a site of emanating civil injustice for non-affluent non-white women---cis and trans alike. " Our goal is to find what we have in common and demonstrate the interdependence of our liberation.
