Potential learners would be able to learn the basics of what fundraising is for nonprofits, the variety of roles, tasks, and jobs that need to be accomplished for a nonprofit to be successful, and how their current skill sets might transfer into the field. Basics include what nonprofit fundraising is, the different types of nonprofit structures, and learning basic vocabulary and structures to help with job interviews or internships, etc.

The field of development in the nonprofit sector can be rewarding, relatively lucrative, and satisfying, but many people don't know the field exists, or if they do, are unsure of how to gain experience or what they need to know to move into it.
